The Funding Network (TFN) asked me to design a new responsive website to replace their existing website. TFN are an international charity that work to raise funds for other charities. The main requirements for the work were:
- The website design needed to be responsive and display well on handheld devices as well as desktops
- To have a modern and fresh design
- To be user friendly
- Allow TFN to update all of the content on the site
- To highlight and emphasise the excellent work TFN is doing
I designed the website using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS) using the mobile friendly Bootstrap framework. Drupal is a powerful and flexible CMS that will allow TFN to be able to update all the content. Bootstrap is a website building framework that is designed to display websites well on handheld devices as well as on the desktop.
Some of the key fatures of the website included:
- Displaying events as a list and in a calendar
- Including ability to create news items
- Colour coding for different website sections
- Ability to easily display video content
- A dynamic map showing location of international partner associations
- Ability to promote any event or other item easily from the homepage
- Iclude a record for all the projects helped
- To include easy sharing on social media and have a search function
